Under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, the State Government has selected Proto Model Bhawan to provide the houses to the poor. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath liked the model of the house prepared by the State Urban Development Agency (SUDA) after seeing it on Thursday. After seeing proto models in the Ran Basera campus located in Jiamou, he said that the Uttar Pradesh Government would construct two lakh houses under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana scheme in the current financial year. After this, their number will increase every year.
The priority of the government is that by 2022 everyone has their own house. Urban Development Minister Suresh Kumar Khanna, Minister for Technical Education and Medical Education Ashutosh Tandon, Housing Development Commissioner Dhiraj Sahu, LDA Vice President Prabhu N. Several officers, including Singh, DM Kaushal Raj Sharma, Secretary LDA Jaishankar Dubey, Director Suda Shailendra Singh were present.
Two Room Model Preferred: The Chief Minister liked the model of two rooms prepared by the SUDA. It is prepared in 28.09 square meters. Its corpate area is 21.43 square meters. It has two rooms, a kitchen and a toilet. Its cost is Rs 3.34 lakhs, while the model created by the LDA was in 18 square meters and its price was stated to be 4.20 thousand rupees. The G-3 was the one which was prepared by the LDA. Apart from the ground, there were three more floors. The model looked too small to see. For this reason the Chief Minister did not like.
Officials said that subsidy of 2.5 lakh rupees will be given by the central and state government under the Prime Minister’s Housing Scheme. Whatever expenses will be incurred on it, it has to be borne by the selected person. In the first phase, two lakh houses will be built, one lakh rupees and one lakh LDA is planned to be made. Grants and technical guidance will be given to the beneficiaries selected by the government for building houses. Beneficiary and building number will be written outside the house.
