The new housing scheme of 12,000 flats of Delhi Development Authority will be launched in mid-June. Deputy Governor Anil Baijal has approved the proposal of the urban body. Top officials in the DDA said that the structure of the detail booklet is also ready. And the DDA will soon talk to the partner banks, after that the scheme will be launched.
According to a Senior Officer of DDA: A senior DDA Officer said that the Lt. Governor of Delhi has given its approval to this proposal. Now our preparations are complete, DDA will launch its scheme in mid-June. In which has left some time, he said that the proof of the structure of the booklet is being read and it will be prepared soon.
DDA Impose Penalty on Many Levels: DDA has also arranged to impose penalty on many levels this time to curb non-serious buyers and check market speculation.The DDA Officer said, if any prospective buyer withdraws his application before the withdrawal date No amount will be deducted from his registration fee. if any other buyer, after the draw date, does so before issuing the demand letter, 25 percent of the registration fee will be seized.
He also said that if the demand letter is issued but if the flat is returned within 90 days then 50 percent fee will be seized and for the next period the complete registration fee will be seized. Most of the flats are in Rohini, Dwarka, Narela, Vasant Kunj and Jasola. It includes 10,000 empty flats of the scheme in 2014 and 2,000 other empty flats.
The registration fee for the LIG category will be Rs one lakh, whereas MIG and HIG will be Rs two lakhs. DDA has also dealt with 10 banks for the transaction related to the sale of the application form and the scheme, including Axis Bank, IDBI Bank, Bank of Baroda, Central Bank, SBI, Kotak Mahindra and HDFC, ICICI Bank and Canara Bank.
A senior DDA officer also said that people can go to those areas to see the flats before buy. We have also removed the lock in period section in this scheme. Because we believe that due to this also the buyer returns the flat and is also monitoring the elements which spread rumors in the market. Earlier this plan was to be launched in February but due to construction work such as road connectivity and street light installation, this period has been stretched.
The officer said, both husbands and wives can apply for the scheme, but if both of them are allotted the flat, one of them will have to return the flat. Sources said that most of the flats are one-Bedroom LIG flat with previous residential plans. And this time no new flat is being given.
The officer said, there are about 10,000 flat LD flats with DDA scheme, which is not such a category for the EWS class like last time. The application forms will be available both online and offline. This scheme has also been started online to reduce the long queues of buyers at their headquarters till application of returning to flat.
