New Delhi: The general budget is going to be presented on February 1. Finance Minister Arun Jaitley can make many important announcements related to real estate to fulfill the promise of Housing for All. The government has planned to complete 3 million homes by 2022 and fulfill the promise of Housing for All.
Important changes in rules: Under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, there is a target to create 20 million households in urban areas and 10 million in rural areas. Only 2.5 lakh homes have been built in the last 2 years. In such a situation, the government will have to build around 20 thousand houses everyday on the remaining days. Under the scheme, for the benefit of subsidies to more and more people, the Finance Minister can announce significant changes in the rules in the budget. According to sources, Jaitley can give great relief to those earning up to Rs 6 lakh. Under which large size houses can come under 6.5 percent subsidy. Now, for the income of Rs 3 lakh, the house gets 30 square meters of house and Rs 3-6 lakh for an income subsidy of 6.5 percent home loan at 60 square meters house. While the income group more than that, subsidies of 3-4 per cent on the interest of the home loan get subsidized.
