Although The DDA housing scheme did not get good response this time, people will not have to wait long for their homes due to fewer applications. DDA is making preparations for the draw only till mid-October. So far, after the application, it used to take DDA for two to three months for the draw.
DDA has received 41,000 applications for 12,072 houses of various categories in the housing scheme. Of these, about 17,000 applications for LIG of 1,1197 flats have been received by DDA. But most of the collisions are for HIG and MIG flats. There are 24,000 applications for 491 flats in these categories. According to the DDA, people will not have to wait long for the flats. Due to the low number of applications this time, other preparations for the feed and draw on the computer will be completed soon. Preparations of the draw are being done by mid-October so that the work of issuing allotment letters to people can be started a few days before Diwali.
It is to be noted that this time, the last date of application was increased from August 11 to September 11 due to fewer applications. After this there was a possibility of a draw delay. So far, DDA was talking about the draw till mid-November. But now DDA is preparing to do the draw in October. According to the DDA, the work of repair of flats etc. is also going on fast.
