Committee to investigate plot allocation at cheap rate: Greater Noida: In the BSP regime, the builder and educational institution have become a committee to investigate the allotment of land for less than the land compensation. The Authority had outlined plans for 25 to 250 acres of land in Sector 17A in 2008-09. Farmers were spending about 23 hundred rupees per square meter by adding the land compensation, acquisition cost, the cost of the seven percent plot. Authorities should have sold their land at a higher rate. But the Authority allotted the plot to 13 builder and educational institution owners at a lower rate. This resulted in a loss of Rs 600 crore to the Authority. The Chairman of the Authority has ordered the inquiry. Committee has been formed under the chairmanship of OSD Shailendra Bhatia for investigation. The Chairman said that seven out of 13 allotments have not been constructed on the plots. Their plot allocation will be canceled. Action is being sent to send them a show-cause notice. At the same time, six allottees have created an educational institution. Authorization from them will recover the price of the plot at the current rate.
